Chocolate Cake

I got this recipe from a cookbook titled, ‘Trail boss’s cowboy cookbook.’

Hot Water Chocolate Cake

start with,

• 2 c. flour
• 2 c.sugar
• 1/2 c. cocoa
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

• 1c. buttermilk
• 1 1/4 c.oil
• 3 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1 c. boiling water

Mix the first five ingredients together, then, in a different bowl, mix the buttermilk and oil together. Then pour that into the dry mixture, mixing well. Add the eggs one at a time. Mix in the rest of the ingredients, adding the boiling water last.
Pour into a greased 9″x13″ pan and bake at 350 for 35 minutes, or until done.

This is my favorite cake recipe, and everyone else likes it too!
